SUMMARY:The female heart: Why women’s cardiovascular risk is still misunderstood
DESCRIPTION:The Female Heart is an Ask the Expert over Lunch session within the Health2Wealth Women’s Health Series\, held online. Heart health is still largely understood through a male lens\, even though women experience cardiovascular risk differently – in symptoms\, diagnosis\, prevention\, hormonal influence and long-term outcomes. Prof. Christine Stefanie Meyer-Zürn\, Professor of Cardiology and Co-Leader of Women’s Heart Health at University Hospital Basel\, shares her perspective on the cardiovascular risks women face\, the warning signs that are often overlooked\, and how hormones\, menopause\, stress and lifestyle shape heart health across different life stages. The format allows participants to bring their own questions for discussion.

SUMMARY:One Body\, One System - Reimagining health beyond symptoms and specialties.
DESCRIPTION:We built a healthcare system that treats diseases one by one\, yet the body does not operate in silos. \nEmerging research increasingly points to deeper connections between chronic inflammation\, metabolic dysfunction\, microbiome imbalance\, and the rise of modern diseases. What if the conditions we treat separately are in fact linked by a common biological terrain? And what would it mean to design healthcare around the system rather than its symptoms? \nThis conference brings together leaders and innovators to explore how science\, technology\, and new models of care can reshape our understanding of health — and how treating the body as a whole could prove not only more coherent for patients\, but also more sustainable than managing fragmented symptoms.

SUMMARY:Fachtagung Spitalzusatzversicherung – die Ambulantisierung als Game Changer?
\n— \nThe RVK Conference on Supplementary Hospital Insurance explores the future role and positioning of supplementary hospital insurance in a healthcare system undergoing profound structural transformation. Driven by the ongoing shift from inpatient to outpatient care\, the political principle of “outpatient before inpatient”\, and the implementation of the EFAS reform\, financing mechanisms\, care pathways and stakeholder roles are changing fundamentally. These developments are reshaping not only mandatory health insurance but also the value proposition and market dynamics of supplementary health insurance. \nThe conference brings together insurers\, healthcare providers and industry experts to discuss how supplementary insurance products can remain relevant in an environment where traditional differentiation factors are losing significance. Through practical insights and expert perspectives\, participants examine emerging care models\, regulatory developments and new forms of collaboration across the healthcare ecosystem. \nFor participants\, the event provides an opportunity to gain strategic orientation\, exchange experiences and build valuable professional connections. The focus lies on understanding the implications of healthcare transformation for supplementary insurance\, identifying sustainable future value propositions and exploring innovative approaches to insurer-provider partnerships in an increasingly outpatient-oriented healthcare landscape. \n*Note: Event descriptions on our platform are generally provided in English to support potential international expansion\, and translation resources have so far been limited. For partner events\, we aim to provide a German version of the description whenever possible.

SUMMARY:Accompanying NCD patients through the start of medication treatment: The myCare Start project
DESCRIPTION:Held as part of Patient Safety Switzerland’s digital theme series for the 2026 Patient Safety Action Week\, this webinar addresses a critical moment in patient care: the start of a new medication regimen. Many patients struggle to understand a new treatment\, prepare for it individually and integrate it into daily life\, which can undermine adherence and\, in turn\, safety. The session presents myCare Start-I\, an evidence-based\, interprofessional care model developed for the Swiss context to support patients with chronic conditions through structured consultations at the outset of treatment. Sarah Rondeaux\, PhD\, a pharmacist and postdoctoral researcher at the Institut des Sciences Pharmaceutiques de Suisse Occidentale (ISPSO)\, presents the project alongside insights from practice. The webinar is held in French with live automatic translation available\, and participation is free.
