Organised by the Swiss Network on Safe Procedures, this event focuses on checklists as a central tool for patient safety in surgical care – which only work if the whole team applies them consistently and their compliance is regularly measured.
The programme includes experience reports on monitoring compliance with the surgical checklist, an interactive workshop on site-marking guidelines based on practical examples, and a talk on the legal aspects of the surgical checklist by Prof. Franziska Sprecher, Director of the Centre for Health Law and Management at the University of Bern, followed by a Q&A.
The event addresses healthcare professionals involved in surgical safety and is held partly in German, partly in French, with translation into German, French and Italian.
