CIRRNET Incident Talks are interactive online case discussions that Stiftung Patientensicherheit Schweiz (Patient Safety Switzerland) runs several times a year as part of its CIRRNET incident-reporting network. This edition, “Insulin – kleine Dosis, grosse Wirkung”, looks at how small errors in insulin dosing, administration or communication can seriously affect patient safety, especially at the interfaces between different care settings.
Aimed at healthcare professionals responsible for handling CIRS reports across hospitals, pharmacies, nursing homes and other institutions, the talk uses real reported cases to prompt open, cross-organisational discussion of causes and possible solutions. It is held online via Microsoft Teams in German, with live translation into several languages, and is recognised by the Swiss Association of Dietitians (SVDE) with two continuing education points. Participation is free.
